Arabic Language: A Living Heritage Shaping Civilizations - World Arabic Language Day 2025

On the occasion of World Arabic Language Day, we celebrate an ancient language that, throughout the centuries, has served as a vessel of knowledge and a source of human thought, playing a pivotal role in the transmission of sciences and the building of civilizations. With its expressive richness and structural flexibility, Arabic is not merely a language of history, but a living tool capable of interacting with the changes and demands of our time.

Given its cultural significance, the Arabic language has received increasing attention at official and institutional levels, in recognition of its importance in strengthening cultural identity and fostering a sense of belonging, as well as in supporting education, knowledge, and creativity. In this context, Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 affirms that the Arabic language is a fundamental element in human development and societal progress, through supporting its presence in education, media, culture, and technology, enhancing Arabic content, and linking the language to cultural and intellectual development projects.

The King Salman Global Academy for the Arabic Language is an advanced institutional model in serving the Arabic language, as it undertakes a specialized scientific role in language planning, developing dictionaries and corpora, supporting scientific research, and promoting the use of the Arabic language in modern technical fields, including artificial intelligence, in addition to building international partnerships and qualifying competencies, which contributes to raising the efficiency of Arabic and enhancing its global presence.

Celebrating World Arabic Language Day is an affirmation of a growing awareness of its cultural value and its role in cultural dialogue, and an opportunity to renew the commitment to protecting and developing it, and enabling it to keep pace with the rapid transformations in today’s world.

In conclusion, the Arabic language remains a living language capable of renewal and giving, and present in its cultural and intellectual role in building a more connected and creative future.
